Sr. Corporate Security Engineer

Sseeking a Senior Corporate Security Engineer who loves challenging problems in Information Security. This person will work on internal security and privacy initiatives and will be responsible for hands-on, day-to-day activities, as well as supporting strategic plans and projects to meet specific company internal security goals and objectives. This person will work with a team consisting of multi-disciplinary Information Security Engineers, provide expertise to the team on security requirements and best practices, and will be responsible for assessing security controls and executing existing processes through corporate policies, standards, and programs.
 
What you'll be doing:
  • Provide security expertise and recommendations to build and implement security best practices
  • Perform work efforts that support the CorpSec mission to monitor and enforce end user policy requirements
  • Perform Vendor and Software security reviews
  • Perform security assessments of third party vendors and products
  • Provide guidance and support for IAM activities
  • Support the Corporate Security team with internal security initiatives
  • Contribute to security policies, standards, and guidelines related to Information Security and ensure they are followed throughout the company
  • Build security awareness content and perform security awareness activities
  • Perform risk and security assessments at multiple levels (enterprise, environment, system level)
  • Respond and handle internal security requests and escalate when appropriate
  • Stay up to date on the latest information security technologies and practices
 
Your background and who you are:
  • 8 to 10 years Security experience
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge with information security policies and standards development and enforcement, strategies, and third-party risk management
  • Knowledgeable of backend and IT software components to support security initiatives
  • Knowledgeable in IAM practices and solutions
  • Experience coordinating and executing security and risk assessments
  • Experience in building and conducting Security awareness initiatives
  • Appreciate and thrive working in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 
Bonus points:
  • Conduct after action reviews to identify lessons learned and best practices
  • Contributions to the security community (e.g., public research, blogging, presentations, etc.) is a plus
  • Certified or pursuing a Security Certifications such as: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), SANS Cyber Security Certifications through Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) organization
